Prince Harry and Michelle Obama Reunited in Chicago and the Pics Are Adorable

Everyone’s favorite royal-presidential dream team Prince Harry and Michelle Obama have reunited in Chicago for the first annual Obama Foundation Summit. Earlier this week, the prince, 33, and the former First Lady, 53, paid a surprise visit to 20 students at Hyde Park Academy, a school on the South Side of Chicago which can be found across the road from the future site of the Obama Presidential Centre.

According to Obama’s communications director Caroline Adler Morales, “The warm and wide-ranging conversation, lasting over an hour, covered how the Obama Presidential Centre will showcase the South Side of Chicago for a global audience, the importance of young people staying inspired and hopeful, and the transformative power of students using their voices to change the world.” All of these are hugely important topics, of course, but judging from the photos shared on the @KensingtonRoyal social media accounts it seems there was time to have fun, too, with the pupils, Harry and Michelle appearing to laugh, smile and share jokes.

Later, Harry appeared at a discussion panel at the Summit, in which he talked about his charitable work with the Royal Foundation, his experiences serving in the military, and the humanitarian legacy of his late mother, Princess Diana. “I think she had a lot in common with everybody but also she certainly listened in a very, very short space of time,” he said, when asked about his mother’s unofficial designation as the “People’s Princess.” He continued, “In society, we suffer from this illusion or this reality where some problems get so big that nobody wants to get involved. She was the one that changed that. I was always look up to her as being my ideal role model.”

Harry struck up a friendship with the Obama family during Barack Obama’s time at the White House, and collaborated with Michelle for last year’s Invictus Games, which were held in Orlando. Most recently, Barack, along with former Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden, joined Harry to watch a wheelchair basketball match at the Toronto Invictus Games.
