Just days before Meghan Markle is expected to give birth to her first child, her husband, Prince Harry, stepped out for a surprise outing alongside his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. The two royals seemingly cleared up any rumors of an alleged feud between the couples after they attended the annual Anzac Day Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey on Thursday, April 25.

Royal fans were over the moon when Harry, 34, made a surprise appearance alongside Kate — who Kensington Palace previously announced would be in attendance at the special event. Harry is “pleased he can attend today’s service, as planned,” a royal insider recently dished to People. “With their baby due, his name was not printed in the program in case he was unable to do so.”

Prince Harry and Kate Middleton Attend ANZAC Day Service

The annual Anzac Day Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving is a day to remember the first major battle involving Australian and New Zealand forces during World War I. The British have been commemorating the event in London every year since the first anniversary of the Anzac landings at Gallipoli in 1916, when King George V attended a service at Westminster Abbey.

For the event, the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out for the solemn event in a teal coat dress designed by Catherine Walker & Co. The stunning, monochromatic ensemble featured three large buttons and a raised neckline. Kate donned a matching fascinator with an array of feathers decorating the headpiece. The brunette beauty tied her look together with a dark green clutch and matching heels. So pretty!

Harry — who is also a veteran — looked as handsome as ever in his classy blue suit. The duke even adorned his suit jacket and tie with a handful of prestigious medals. Both Harry and Kate also wore red poppy pins, a symbol used since 1921 to commemorate military members who tragically passed away in the war.

At the event, Kate and Harry took part in the service alongside The Dean of Westminster, the Very Reverend Dr. John Hall. Also in attendance was The Duke of Gloucester, one of Queen Elizabeth‘s cousins and currently 26th in the line of succession to the British throne.

Like Harry, Kate rolled up solo to the outing. Her husband, Prince William, is currently overseas in New Zealand for a two-day trip to Auckland. After arriving on April 25, the Duke of Cambridge joined the prime minister for a civic service at the Auckland War Memorial Museum to honor the country’s fallen soldiers and terrorism victims.
