Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Send Sweet Birthday Message to Princess Charlotte While Awaiting Baby’s Birth

Just because their little one is due to arrive any minute now doesn’t mean Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have forgotten all about their other loved ones. The royal couple took a break from eagerly awaiting Baby Sussex’s arrival to wish Kate Middleton‘s daughter, Princess Charlotte, a Happy 4th Birthday.

“Happy Birthday Charlotte! 🎂🎈” they adorably commented on a photo. “Lots of love, H and M xo,” they continued. In honor of Charlotte’s special day, Kate and Prince William shared three royal portraits of their daughter to Kensington Palace‘s official Instagram account on Wednesday, May 1.

“Happy Birthday Princess Charlotte! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share three new photographs of Princess Charlotte ahead of her fourth birthday,” the post reads. “The photographs were taken in April by The Duchess at Kensington Palace and at their home in Norfolk.”

Although Kate didn’t say how she plans to celebrate Charlotte’s big day, the duchess will probably do something big for her little one. After all, she is her only daughter! However, before Kate makes any big decisions, she’ll have to learn how to perfectly balance her royal duties with her mom life.

“William and the children mean everything to Kate, so she’s determined to create a healthy balance between her personal life and her future role,” a source recently told Us Weekly about the brunette beauty possibly taking the throne one day. “It’s taken a long time to get to where she is today, but she’s ready.”

Just like us, Queen Elizabeth has no doubt that Kate will be a great monarch someday. “William and Kate are the favorite royals to take the crown in many generations,” royal expert Rebecca Long recently explained to Us Weekly. “So the people of the U.K. are very excited about it.”
