Prince William Jokes Kate Middleton's Outfit Looks Like A Christmas Tree

Is Prince William trying to sleep on the couch? During the royal couple’s visit to Cyprus on Wednesday, Dec. 5, William joked in front of a group of military personnel that his wife, Kate Middleton, resembled a Christmas tree in her latest outfit!

While visiting a Royal Air Force base, William and Kate posed for pictures with the military men and women in front of a festive Christmas tree. “My wife’s camouflaged against the tree,” the Duke joked. “Do you want me to move out of the photo?” Ha!

For their visit, the 36-year-old Duchess sported an $850 green blazer over a cream-colored blouse and navy blue slacks. That’s one expensive Christmas tree if you ask us!

We doubt William, 36, will be sent to the dog house tonight as his wife seemed to get a kick out of the festive joke. However, he should not be poking fun at his wife’s outfits considering she is just getting into the Christmas spirit!

In fact, earlier this week, the brunette beauty stepped out wearing her most festive outfit yet. The Duchess donned a perfect ensemble to host a Christmas party for Royal Air Force (RAF) military families with her hubby at Kensington Palace.

Kate’s outfit consisted of a cashmere cardigan top paired with a pleated, red and black plaid midi-length skirt designed by Emilia Wickstead. She completed her outfit with a pair of matching tall black boots. So cute!

At the holiday celebration, Kate thanked everyone for coming out to the special event. “It’s really lovely to see you all here. Not only are we grateful for you coming here to join our party, but also for the sacrifices you make on a daily basis on behalf of the nation,” Kate graciously stated. “I can’t imagine how it feels when your loved ones are away on active service over Christmas or at those special family moments.”
