Andrea Bocelli Will Perform At Princess Eugenie And Jack Brooksbank’s Lavish Royal Wedding
As Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s royal wedding day quickly approaches, a few last-minute planning details have been revealed to the public. On Monday, Oct. 8, People reported that Kensington Palace has asked famed Italian singer Andrea Bocelli to perform at Eugenie’s nuptials this Friday, Oct. 12. How cool is that?!
Not only has the Palace booked Andrea, but there will reportedly be two hymns composed by the director of music at St. George’s Chapel, James Vivian, to be sung during the ceremony. There will also be musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performing since Eugenie’s dad, Prince Andrew, is a patron of the RPO.
James Williams, the managing director of the RPO, expressed his excitment to perform at the upcoming royal wedding and said, “It has been a great pleasure to work with HRH Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank to plan the music for their special day and we wish the couple much happiness for their future together.”
Eugenie and Jack’s wedding day will be so big that they have also added State Trumpeters from the Band of the Household Cavalry to the long list of performers. Buckingham Palace was also kind enough to recently share new details about Eugenie and Jack’s wedding cake — and it sounds delicious!
“The red velvet and chocolate cake will be a traditional cake, with a modern feel,” the Palace said in a statement. “It will incorporate the rich colors of autumn in its design and will be covered with detailed sugar work including ivy.” Yummy!
The cake will be created by Chef Sophie Cabot, who is no stranger to baking for the royal family. “I am incredibly excited to be given this wonderful opportunity to create such a special and unique cake. It has been lovely working with Princess Eugenie and Jack and I really hope they enjoy the cake on the day,” she said in a statement. Eugenie’s wedding sounds like it’s going to be a beautiful day!
