Elizabeth and Philip were married on Nov. 20, 1947 at London's Westminster Abbey. At the time, Britain hadn't fully recovered from the devastation of World War II, so Elizabeth used ration coupons to buy the material for her wedding gown, which was designed by Norman Hartnell.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge exchanged "I Dos" on April 29, 2011 at London's Westminster Abbey in front of a globally televised audience of more than 300 million people!

On May 22, 2004 Prince Felipe married Letizia, an award-winning television journalist, at Madrid's Almudena Cathedral. The couple now have two daughters, Leonor, Princess of Asturias, and Infanta Sofía. In June 2014, Felipe ascended the throne and became King of Spain.

Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark and Mary Donaldson

Mary — who will later become Queen consort of Denmark when her husband ascends the throne — and Crown Prince Frederik married on May 14, 2004 at the Copenhagen Cathedral.
