Reba McEntire (Reba Hart)

Reba played the matriarch of the Hart family, making sure everyone was taken care of.

Prior to the series, Reba was a household name in the country music world. But, in the years since, in the years since, she has transcended genres. 

She became her own manager after divorcing husband Narvel Blackstock and has released numerous albums. In 2024, she sang the national anthem during Super Bowl LVIII.

JoAnna Garcia Swisher (Cheyenne Hart-Montgomery)

Cheyenne is Reba’s oldest daughter who got pregnant going into her senior year of high school.

JoAnna went on to star in such shows as Privileged, Once Upon a Time, Gossip Girl and Steel Magnolias. She hosted Netflix’s Ultimatum: Queer Love in 2023. 

She married husband Nick Swisher in 2010 with Reba costars Reba and Melissa serving as bridesmaids. The pair have two daughters together. 

Christopher Rich (Brock Hart)

Christopher played Brock, Reba’s cheating ex-husband who left her for his dental hygienist.

With a lengthy career before Reba, the Dallas, Texas, native had roles in shows like Melissa & Joey and Desperate Housewives. Chris and his wife, Eva Rich, as well as their daughters Lily and Daisy, appeared on the Polish version of Real Housewives, Żony Hollywood, in 2015.

Steve Howey (Van Montgomery)

Van is Cheyenne’s boyfriend who eventually marries her after she becomes pregnant with their child.

After Reba, Steve had a role in the popular series Shameless. He has also starred in films such as Bride Wars, Something Borrowed and Stan Helsing. 

He married model Sarah Shahi in 2009. While they divorced in 2021, they former couple share three children together.

Scarlett Pomers (Kyra Hart)

Kyra is the middle child of the Hart family.

Scarlett turned to singing after the finale of Reba, releasing her debut EP Insane in January 2010.

“[I’m] pretty much [done with acting]. I’ve been doing some voiceover work here and there, but for the most part I’m focused on the music and photography,” she said in 2019. “That keeps me busy and happy, and I can make enough of a living doing it.”

Melissa Peterman (Barbra Jean Booker Hart)

Known as “BJ,” she’s the dental hygienist who Brock leaves Reba for.

Melissa later starred in Freeform’s Baby Daddy, the Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon, and hosts the game show Person, Place or Thing.

Melissa is reportedly set to reunite with Reba on NBC’s upcoming sitcom Happy’s Place.

Mitch Holleman (Jake Hart)

Jake is the youngest of the Hart children.

Since Reba, Mitch has had small roles in projects such as The Hangover and Shake It Up.

Mitch married wife Emma in 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic.
