“It’s a very special weekend,” said the country singer, 63, who spends the holiday with family. “I hope [everyone] will think back and be thoughtful of what a great year this has been — remember people we’ve lost. Remember people who have done great things. And if there’s someone they need to say ‘I love you’ to or ‘I’m sorry’ to, now’s the time to do it!”

Glenn Close

“I can remember being really little at my grandparents’ house — my mother’s parents’ house,” the actress, 71, told Closer. I remember the turkey leg looked huge! I must have been very little. It’s one of my first memories of the holidays.”

Sheryl Crow

“We get together and overeat and nap all day and watch ball games and overeat some more,” the singer, 56, and mother-of-two said of Thanksgiving with her mom and friends. “I have a very close-knit family and we serve up a lot of gratitude.”

Tim McGraw

For the country star, 51, the holiday is about sharing: “Me totally messing up the kitchen, and [my wife], Faith [Hill], pretending she doesn’t care — but later cleaning it up when I’m not looking. I’m a good cook, but a sloppy one!”

Priscilla Presley

“Thanksgiving is my favorite time of the year,” Priscilla, 73, told Closer. “I remember I had a party [a few] years ago and I had about 45 people but I was expecting 30! But it turned out to be one of the best Thanksgivings I’ve ever had!”

Tanya Tucker

“I think of family and friends cooking in the kitchen,” Tanya, 60, told Closer of her favorite Thanksgivings. “My daughter Presley cooking the turkey. And most of all thankfulness. Memories so sweet! I feel so blessed with healthy kids and old friends and sharing a beautiful meal together.”

For the 60 Minutes correspondent, 76, “Thanksgiving is a great reason for me to see my grandchildren, the most important reason on the planet,” she told Closer. “My daughter cooks — because I don’t cook! So I get to do the fun stuff: play with them and spoil them.”
