Reba McEntire Finds Love With Skeeter Lasuzzo 4 Years After Divorcing Her Husband

Just because Reba McEntire divorced Narvel Blackstock back in 2015 doesn’t mean that her heart isn’t ready to love again — and that exactly what it has been doing.

“I was not looking,” the 64-year-old tells People of her mindset post-divorce, discussing the new man in her life. “Not even interested.” That all changed in August 2017 during a vacation tour of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This is where she met Anthony “Skeeter” Lasuzzo and, as they say, the rest is history — romantic history, that is. Skeeter, a 70-year-old widower and a wildlife photographer, helped Reba find the best locations for animal sightings while on the trip.

“We just had the best time,” the country star states. “And so two nights later, we all went out to dinner, and he bought my dinner.” Fast-forward two months after the hitmaker returned home when Skeeter asked her on a date. “I was there almost a week and we spent every day together,” she recalls.

While Reba reveals that the relationship between the two became serious “just gradually,” she now knows that they are completely head over heels for each other. “We’re totally in love — absolutely,” she gushes. “I wouldn’t put up with somebody for two years if I wasn’t in love with ’em!” she says, adding, “The old heart’s still beating.”

As for today, the couple makes sure to spend plenty of time with each other at each other’s homes. Reba has a single biological child, a 29-year-old son named Shelby, with Blackstock — who had three other kids of his own, too. As for Skeeter, he has four children he shared with his late wife, Marolyn, who died in 2013 at the age of 65 after a seven-year battle with breast cancer.

“We do a lot of walking,” the Reba alum says of what they do on their personal time. “He lives right there on the lake [Texoma], got a beautiful home. And then when we go to Jackson Hole, we snowshoe and walk and get into nature.”

We should expect to see a public outing of the duo very soon, as they are expected to walk the red carpet together for the Academy of Country Music Awards on on Sunday, April 7. In fact, the “Fancy” singer will be hosting the whole night.
