Ringo Starr Is Making Music With Paul McCartney — and We Can’t Wait to Hear It! (EXCLUSIVE)

They just don’t make music like they used to! Well, not if Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney have anything to do with it. The last remaining members of the Beatles are planning on teaming up to make music again — and Closer Weekly has the exclusive on the exciting news.

“We play the best we can and support each other,” Ringo, 77, enthused to Closer at his annual Worldwide Peace and Love Birthday Celebration on Friday, July 7. “Paul’s the most melodic bass player in the world, and I love him!”

Ringo is excited to collaborate with his old friend on his upcoming album, Give More Love. The drummer admits that working with the “Blackbird” crooner is “easy.” But this isn’t the first time Ringo has expressed interest in teaming up with his old friend.

“I would tour with Paul McCartney tomorrow!” Ringo previously told Closer Weekly. “I’m doing my own tours right now so we’d have to work it out.”

And for any naysayer that believes that the duo is too old to be making new music and touring, Ringo has news for them: “It would be nice to be 70 again! But you get up in the morning and you try to have the best day you can. And be in the best spirit that you can be!”

One way the drummer stays young is to remember what’s important in life — he’s a big promoter of the Peace and Love movement. “I think it is important with all the violence that there is peace and love! And maybe we can have more as the years go on!” he said. We couldn’t agree more — and we bet their new music will be some of their best yet!
