Shark Tank’s Robert Herjavec Says He Will ‘Buy Anything’ That Makes Him ‘Happy’ Ahead of Season 16

As one of the most widely known and successful faces on television, Robert Herjavec, has made a massive fortune from his business endeavors. The Shark Tank star opened up about why he has decided not to hold back on spending money.

“I’ll buy anything that makes me happy,” he told E! News in an interview published on October 14.

Robert, 62, found great success in the software space when he founded the internet security operator BRAK Systems, in which he later sold to AT&T Canada for more than $30 million.

The investor has been a member of the Shark Tank cast since season 1 in 2009. He has appeared on every season since, including the show’s upcoming season 16, which is set to premiere on Friday, October 18. Additionally, Robert is a panelist on the Canadian series Dragons’ Den.

While Robert was very outward about his spending approach, some of his other costars said they were more frugal when it came to certain things. Mark Cuban told the outlet that he would never “splurge on a watch.”

“When I sold my first company when I was 29, the only watch I ever owned was one my dad gave to me,” Mark shared. “I took it off and I put it aside and I said, ‘Now that I’ve sold my company, I never have to work on anybody’s else’s time, so I’m never going to wear a watch again.'”

Mark previously revealed plans to leave the show after season 16. He will join Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, Kevin O’Leary and Daniel Lubetzky on the panel for his final swim in the tank.

Nowadays, on top of all of his business ventures, Robert is a doting dad to twins Hudson and Haven, whom he shares with wife Kym Johnson-Herjavec. He also shares older kids Caprice, Skye and Brendan, from his marriage to his first wife, Diane Plese.

“My husband’s so supportive,” Kym told Closer in March. “He’s very hands-on.” She went on to say that he is “such a great dad.”

At the time, she was gearing up for the premiere of her Lifetime movie Hunting Housewives, and praised her husband for taking care of the kids.

“He’s like, ‘Yeah, go do it. I’ve got the kids, it’s all good,’” the Dancing With the Stars alum said. “And we were actually in Canada. We moved to Canada four years ago, so I still get to see them when I wake up in the morning. They’re in bed by the time I get home from the sets, but at least I see them in the mornings.”

Kym said that Robert gave her some great advice as she explored acting.

“He’s like, ‘Don’t limit yourself, do it.’ And it’s so true,”she shared. “It’s like life’s too short. If you want to do something, work hard, take lessons. I’m taking singing lessons every week and acting lessons, and it’s like, if that’s what you want to do, work hard and do it.”
