Robin Williams' 'Mork & Mindy' Spacesuit to Be Auctioned Off - Closer Weekly

The red spacesuit worn by Robin Williams in the popular ’70s sitcom, Mork & Mindy, will be auctioned off next month, according to the AFP. The egg-shaped spaceship Mork traveled to Earth in will also be available for purchase.

“This is such a big piece from a pop-culture, television history perspective,” Brian Chanes of the Profiles in History auction house said. “I think that it’s going to stand on its own merit, not because of what recently, tragically, happened with Robin.”

The beloved actor committed suicide on Aug. 11 after suffering for years from depression and a drug and alcohol addiction. He played the quirky alien for four seasons from 1978-1982.

The suit is estimated to go for as much as $20,000 while the spaceship is expected to fetch between $4,000 to $6,000.
