Ryan Phillippe’s New TV Show ‘Shooter’ Delayed Following Dallas Shootings

It seems we’ll have to wait some more time to see Ryan Phillippe back on the small screen.

USA Network has delayed the upcoming series premiere date for the 41-year-old actor’s new TV show, Shooter, following the tragic sniper attack in Dallas on Thursday, June 7.

“In light of recent tragic events and out of respect for the victims, their families and our viewers, we have decided to postpone the premiere date for the upcoming USA Network series Shooter, to July 26 [instead of July 19],” a rep for the network revealed to Us Weekly earlier this week.

In the thriller series — which is based on Mark Wahlberg‘s 2007 film, Shooter — Reese Witherspoon‘s ex-husband portrays a veteran military sniper and war hero who attempts to save his reputation after he is accused of a crime he didn’t commit.
