Ryan Seacrest and Girlfriend Shayna Taylor Call It Quits After Nearly 3 Years of Dating (Report)
Another beloved Hollywood couple has reportedly bit the dust — this time, Ryan Seacrest and Shayna Taylor. Though their relationship seemed to be going strong after dating nearly three years, The National Enquirer, who broke the story, reported earlier today that the couple has called it quits.
“It’s over,” an insider revealed to the outlet on Wednesday, February 27. The couple’s apparent breakup comes as a shock to fans of the beloved host considering their relationship seemed to get only stronger in the past year. Ryan, 44, and Shayna, 26, first met in 2013 when they were introduced by friends. After an initial breakup in 2014, the Live! With Kelly and Ryan host and his food blogger girlfriend rekindled their romance and moved to New York City from Los Angeles together in 2017 after Ryan landed the gig on the weekly morning TV show.
Ryan and Shayna’s alleged split comes as even more of a surprise considering the American Idol legend was just gushing over how “wonderful” it’s been being in love with the blonde beauty. “It was the first time we were together, and she said, ‘I make these amazing gluten-free pancakes,’ and I said, ‘What?! Well, tell me everything!'” Ryan said to People this past December. “That is all it took for me to really fall,” he gushed while adding that it’s all about the “food chemistry.”
This isn’t the first time that Ryan was caught praising his former love. “We’re very in sync. Moving to a new city together was fun because we were also having a new chapter together,” Ryan admitted to the outlet while adding, “Living together is easy.”
With rumors swirling around that Ryan’s friends Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos were pressuring him to get married, many fans began to wonder if Shayna would be the lucky lady he would finally tie the knot with. “I’ve never been engaged,” Ryan confessed to Kelly, 48, in May 2018. “I love the idea of marriage because my parents have been married for 47 years. The truth is I don’t want to screw it up.” We wish the best for both Ryan and Shayna!
