All the Times Sarah Jessica Parker Was in the Middle of Rumored Feuds

Sarah Jessica Parker vs. Kim Cattrall

Although the gals on Sex and the City always looked like the best of pals both on and off camera, the overblown "feud" between Sarah and her fellow co-star, has been a much-publicized rumor for years. However, although both women have denied any animosity between the two, this year it was hard for both of them to deny the bad blood between them.

It all started when Sarah revealed that plans for Sex and the City 3 have been scrapped. Reports later said the reason the movie fell through was because Kim didn't want to do it because she wanted more money. Kim later clarified that it wasn't about the money and that she turned down the film back in 2016. She then went on Piers Morgan's TV show to air her grievance directly at Sarah. "And this is really where I take to task the people from Sex and the City and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker in that I think she could have been nicer," Kim said. "I really think she could have been nicer. I don't know what her issue is, I never have."

Sarah vs. Sandra Bernhard

Back in 2012, the comedian and actress revealed to Howard Stern that she originally was offered the role of Miranda in Sex and the City, but she turned it down. “[I would have had] to play third or fourth fiddle to Sarah Jessica Parker and put up with her s–t,” she explained. “It would have been hideous to work with her." When Howard asked her about the rumors of on-set feuds on the set of SATC, Sandra responded, "Ask any of those ladies on that show…nobody gets along, I don’t think.”

Sarah vs. Candace Bushnell

Candace, the author and creator of Sex and the City, was none too pleased when Sarah called the SATC spin-off show, The Carrie Diaries, "odd." Candace responded by telling The Daily Beast, "That’s showbiz. Sarah Jessica’s first part was somebody else’s part. She played Annie on Broadway. She understands how these things work." Candace later attacked Sarah's age. "Look, Sarah Jessica Parker is 47… Carrie Bradshaw couldn’t be an ingenue anymore."

Rumors of a "feud" gained even more traction when the author came out with a new novel, Killing Monica, about a novelist who becomes jealous of a popular character she created. However, Candace brushed aside reports of conflict as "sexist."

Sarah vs. Divorce creator Sharon Horgan

In 2016, reports claimed Sarah was in yet another feud on her new HBO show, Divorce. According to Page Six, show creator Sharon Horgan and Sarah got in an argument about creative differences that was "a big deal on set." However, both women have denied via their reps of any dispute.

Sarah vs. the owners of the SATC house

In 2014, while promoting her shoe line, Sarah paid a visit to the famous townhouse featured on Sex and the City to stage a photo shoot in front of the iconic steps. However, the owners of the house were none too pleased. Considering they get tons of visits from fans who want to take their picture in front of the steps, the owners have a sign that instructs visitors to "not go on the staircase, please." Apparently, Sarah didn't get permission to stage her shoes on the steps of the house. "I heard about the shoot. [She] didn’t get the permission from the owner," the president of the Perry Street Association told Page Six. "The situation with SATC visitors is still very intense. People who live here get upset that the sidewalks are constantly jammed."
