Well, that got ugly.
During Savannah Guthrie‘s Today sit-down with Penélope Cruz on Wednesday, Feb. 10, the 44-year-old journalist asked the actress about her “ugly feet” — and the nice conversation immediately took an awkward turn.
“I think you said it, despite what you look like, you have ugly feet,” Savannah said to the Zoolander 2 star.

“No, no, no, no,” Penélope, 41, shockingly answered. “I haven’t said that. I’m OK. I’m OK with my feet.”
“OK, good!” Savannah uncomfortably replied. “Because you were a dancer.”
“Yeah, because, you know, when you’re a ballet dancer, you lose your toenails,” Penélope soon added. “You get used to throwing them away. You don’t even feel them anymore. I’m OK.”
