Savannah Guthrie Comments ‘New Couple Alert’ on Hoda Kotb’s Photo With Kevin Costner at Super Bowl
Hoda Kotb reunited with Kevin Costner in a new photo, and her fans cannot stop talking about it! The Today alum attended Super Bowl 2025 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9, and bumped into several celebrities during the big game.
Hoda, 60, shared a carousel of photos from the event on Sunday on Instagram, writing, “Oh what funnnnn!!! #superbowl #nolastrong.” She included a picture with Kevin, 70, smiling as she wrapped her arm around him. The Yellowstone actor wore sunglasses but there was no hiding the smile on his face as he posed with Hoda.
Savannah Guthrie took to the comments section to write, “New couple alert cc @jennabhager,” with a siren emoji. Jenna Bush Hager replied, “We have been waiting for this moment!”
Today’s Donna Farizan also commented, writing, “Yes yes yes!! Love each pic but pic 2 has me,” with the eyes emoji.
Other fans took notice of the broadcaster’s photo with the Oscar winner.
“You and Kevin – now that’s a superbowl win!!!” one person wrote, while another said, “Ooh you look gooooood with Kevin!! Just sayin.”
“I think Hoda Costner has a nice ring to it!!!” another comment read, as another said, “YOU & KEVIN ARE PERFECTION.”
“Found Kevin I see , or did HE find you ?!!!” another person wrote.
The post came several months after Hoda was made aware that fans were “shipping” her and Kevin during a June 2024 interview on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. The pair first drew buzz when Hoda interviewed Kevin on Today in June 2024.
“How do you feel about viewers ‘shipping’ you and Kevin Costner after he appeared on Today last month? And have the two of you connected since?” a fan asked Hoda, to which she responded, “Wait what?”
“The viewers want the two of you together,” Andy Cohen remarked. “Yes, yes, yes, yes.”
“I have never heard that, not one time,” Hoda said.
Savannah, 53, chimed in to say, “Well, you heard it now, you up to it?”
“Well, if the viewers want it,” Hoda said.
“Give the people what they want,” Savannah agreed.
Months later, an insider told Closer that Hoda’s Today costars and fans weren’t the only ones hoping for a spark between her and Kevin. She has been on a quest for love since her breakup from Joel Schiffman in January 2022, while Kevin finalized his divorce from Christine Baumgartner in February 2024.
“Hoda and Kevin are a match made in heaven! They’ve had their romantic difficulties in recent years — Kevin going through his acrimonious split with Christine and Hoda breaking up with Joel. But this feels perfect right now,” the source said in October 2024.
“With his bitter split behind him, Kevin’s made it known that he’s back on the hunt for a new romantic partner,” the insider added.
Hoda has made it known that she is on the hunt for love and is looking for that special someone to share her life with.
“I haven’t really thought about who I would see myself with, but I do have to say something,” she said. “My sister even said and asked me at one point, ‘Are afraid to be by yourself?’ And I said to her, ‘I’m not going to be by myself.’ And I don’t know why I said it so clearly, but I actually knew that my heart is open. I have an open heart,” the mom of two told People in May 2022.
