Lauren Silverman Wants a Second Baby With Simon Cowell (EXCLUSIVE)

Are congratulations almost in order? Simon Cowell and his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, welcomed their first child together, a son named Eric, back in February 2014. And now that four years have gone by, the TV star’s longtime girlfriend is ready for a second baby!

“Lauren wants another baby,” an insider told Closer Weekly in the magazine’s latest issue, on newsstands now. “But Simon is happy with just one. He’s very conscious that he’s getting older, so whether Lauren can wear him down, who knows?”

By the sounds of how much Simon has enjoyed fatherhood so far, it does seem like another little one may be in the cards. “He’s madly in love with his son,” the source continued. “And he’ll openly tell his friends his intense feeling he has for Eric. He’s turned into a big softie with him.”

Simon has also gushed about being a dad himself. “[Fatherhood is] much more fun than I thought it was going to be. [Kids] adapt to your schedule quicker than people think, or at least I thought,” the 58-year-old once shared. “For the first six months, I honestly [had the] most one-sided conversation I’ve ever had in my life. ‘I’m not getting anything back here. Maybe [my son] hates me.’ And then after about a year and a half, suddenly you get this connection and they start talking to you. And you can teach them things. It’s an amazing feeling.”

He gushed in another interview, “It gives you such a different perspective on life. Things I thought were important, just aren’t. And because I see a lot of things through Eric’s eyes now, I find everything to be a happier place.” We’re crossing our fingers that the Cowell family will continue to grow sooner rather than later!
