Single Dad Takes Cosmetology Classes to Learn How to Do Daughter's Hair - Closer Weekly

When single dad Greg Wickherst started caring for his daughter, Izzy, almost full time after splitting from her mom, he realized he had no idea how to style her hair.

So Greg, 39, decided to do something about it — and took cosmetology classes!

“I wanted to have a student show me some styles because I could barely do a ponytail, and I want my daughter to look her best,” Greg exclusively told ‘Closer Weekly.’

“So I spoke to the supervisor of the Cosmetology program where I work (IntelliTec College), and she let me sit with a student, Ashley Rivera, to teach me different styles, like fish tail braids, French braids, buns, and different [kinds] of ponytails,” he continued.

Today, Greg styles his nearly three-year-old daughter’s hair into some pretty impressive updos and shows off his creations on his Facebook page.

“It is very cute, most times she knows what she wants. This morning she said ‘I want a ponytail on this side of my head.’ But she asks for a bun most of the time,” he told ‘Closer.’
