Doug gets a visit from guest-star Ray Romano and the two spend the weekend trying to pick up women together. During that time, Carrie takes a trip to her late mother's grave with Arthur, and receives some surprising news while there.

While Doug is busy looking for Deacon's lost koosh ball, Carrie worries about losing her job after the company threatens to fire all the "dead wood."
