Meghan Markle’s Dad Thomas Markle Is Coming out With a Clothing Line

What?! Thomas Markle is apparently launching a clothing line. Meghan Markle‘s estranged dad just can’t walk away from the spotlight and instead seems to be capitalizing on his daughter’s fame. The 74-year-old — who bailed on her wedding to Prince Harry in May due to an alleged heart attack — will now be making menswear, according to a private tweet posted by Meg’s half-sister, Samantha. 

“So excited about my father’s new #clothing line for men!” the tweet read, which was obtained by Page Six. “Will keep you posted!” We. Literally. Cannot. 

The news comes just after it was revealed that Tom skipped Meghan’s first wedding to Trevor Engelson, too. Twitter exploded upon hearing the Daily Mail‘s report, with many slamming the soon-to-be designer. 

“Thomas Markle is making a big fuss over his daughter not contacting him, yet there was no mention of him attending her first wedding,” one person wrote. “I guess he let her down at that one, too. This family thinks they’re doing the right thing but they’re only making matters worse.” Another agreed, adding, “I know Thomas Markle did not go to her first wedding either, but her mother did. He appears to have a problem with the husbands; it must be a control thing as the Alpha male.” A third said, “He wasn’t at Meghan’s first wedding either so what’s his beef?!”

Thomas has supposedly been trying to contact Meghan for months with little success. During a recent interview, he opened about those staged paparazzi photos that damaged his relationship with his “baby.” He told the Daily Mail on Sunday, “Harry told me that I should never go to the press,” he revealed. “That it would end in tears. He said, ‘They will eat you alive.’ He was right.”  When will this all end?!
