Tom Brady Breaks Silence Amid Ex-Wife Gisele Bundchen’s Pregnancy With Boyfriend Joaquim Valente

Mere hours after Gisele Bündchen’s pregnancy was confirmed by Closer, her ex-husband, Tom Brady, broke his silence on social media.

“Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?” he wrote alongside a photo of the sunset in his Instagram Stories with The Chicks’ cover of the Fleetwood Mac song “Landslide” playing in the background on Monday, October 28. The caption referenced lyrics from the hit tune and he added three heart emojis to the post.

While the retired NFL star did not directly respond to the pregnancy news in his post, a source told TMZ that Gisele, 44, told Tom, 47, of her pregnancy before the news was publicly revealed.

Gisele is currently expecting her third child, her first with boyfriend Joaquim Valente.

“Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family,” a source close to the couple said in a statement to People on Monday.

Tom and Gisele called it quits on their marriage in October 2022, announcing the news in a statement at the time.

“With much gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce. My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart,” the supermodel wrote in a statement at the time. “We will continue coparenting to give them the love, care and attention they greatly deserve.”

“The decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always,” the statement continued.

They were married for 13 years, and welcomed kids Benjamin and Vivian during their union. Tom also shares his eldest son, Jack, with ex-husband Bridget Moynahan. Gisele was first linked to Joaquim in 2022, making several public appearances with the jiu-jitsu since then.

An insider told In Touch in March that the Victoria’s Secret model “wants to keep her personal life private” amid her romance with Joaquim.

“Gisele’s so grateful for Joaquim,” the source said. “They’ve been practically inseparable. He makes her feel happy and sexy and alive, and she’s having fun with him.”

That same month, Gisele slammed rumors that she cheated on Tom with Joaquim.

“This is something that happens to a lot of women who get blamed when they have the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship and are labeled as being unfaithful,” she told the New York Times. “They have to deal with their communities. They have to deal with their family. Of course for me, it just happens to be a little bit amplified.”

Tom also moved on after their divorce and returned to the dating scene. The former New England Patriots quarterback was linked to model Irina Shayk in July 2023.

“Apparently, Tom and Irina never technically broke up,” an insider told Life & Style in December. “They both simply got busy, with raising kids and working.”
