‘Tracker’ Shares Major Casting News About Reenie Greene’s Big Client in Season 2

A new face is coming to Tracker season 2 for a plot involving Reenie Grene.

On Friday, March 21, Deadline announced that Pej Vahdat was cast in the recurring role of Leonard Sharf. The outlet described his character as “a demanding client of Reenie’s who is out for leverage against one of the founding partners of his company.”

“Willing to throw any amount of money at the problem, he enlists Reenie to do his dirty work and insists on making sure there’s no paper trail to connect the two of them,” the description said.

The outlet also shared a clip from his appearance on the show, featuring him and Reenie having a tense conversation.

“Sheldon Grimes sits on the board of my company,” Leonard said in the clip, to which Reenie responded, “One of the founding partners, right. And if memory serves it was his tech that brought in the VCs. Dropped out of MIT, big fan of fish and failed at two other startups before you partnered with him. I could go on.”

“No need,” Leonard said. Reenie then asked him what the job was.

“I need some leverage on him,” he explained, to which Reenie said, “Leverage. Is that what we’re calling it these days?”

Reenie said she would draft up a contract and Leonard questioned why they needed to have a contract. “Who needs the paper trail? You have my word,” he said.

Leonard gave Reenie a phone to call him on, saying, “We live in a surveillance state. To think otherwise is naive.”

“Good to know. But there are limits to what I will do on your behalf,” Reenie said.

Leonard said he would double Reenie’s hourly fee and give her a “healthy retainer” if she indulged his discretion on the case. She agreed.

“You mind if I have my decorator swing by? Call it a free consult,” he said while looking around.

“I don’t do gifts. Don’t want you thinking I owe you anything,” she retorted before proceeding to walk him out of her office.

The outlet reported that Leonard will first appear in Sunday’s upcoming episode called “Exodus.”

“When a teenage musician vanishes in New Orleans, Colter teams up with a local detective (Marci House) and uncovers a chilling mystery involving dark magic, on the CBS Original series TRACKER,” the logline for the episode said.

CBS also released a clip from the episode showing Colter Shaw questioning a man about a missing kid. The man explained that a kid named Kevin was thought to have ran away but his body later washed up in a lake a week later. Colter pointed out that the police initially said it was a robbery but the man questioned the truth about Kevin’s disappearance and death.

“This place has a darkness. A lot of people don’t see it at first but it’s here,” the man told Colter in the clip.

Colter than asked the man about a missing child named Anton. The man explained that the police weren’t too concerned with Anton’s disappearance because he had only been gone for a day. They told him to reach back out if he didn’t turn up because they had limited resources. The man said that he was seeing a woman who was trying to help. The woman heard about Colter from a job he previously did in New Orleans.

Tracker airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and episodes are streaming on Paramount+.
