Wendie Malick Reveals Betty White Would Be up for a ‘Hot in Cleveland’ Reboot! (EXCLUSIVE)

Could Hot in Cleveland be the next sitcom to make a comeback? “They were trying to get us together to do another batch [of episodes], but it’s so hard,” Wendie Malick exclusively told Closer Weekly at AARP’s recent TV for Grownups Honors. “It’s like wrangling cats — we’re all off doing our own thing.” But Wendie would relish the opportunity to work with co-star Betty White again. 

“Jane Leeves and I had lunch with Betty not too long ago,” she said. “She’s one of my favorites — she’s a little salty, but she’s a trip and a half, with the biggest heart.” At 96, “Betty would be up for it,” Wendie said of the potential reboot. “We all adore one another.” As did many people on the Hot set. “Everybody who came on the show said, ‘I just want to hang out on the sofa with you guys. You’re having so much fun.'”

Since Hot in Cleveland ended following its sixth season, Wendie has been focusing on her upcoming projects and challenging herself with her work. “I always describe myself as a work in progress,” Wendie previously told Closer. “There are still so many things I don’t know and so much that I want to get better at, including being a good actress.”

“I keep on working because I love it and I work with people I love,” she added. Wendie has two new movies coming out this fall called Marrying Father Christmas and Darrow & Darrow 3. At age 67, Wendie is not trying to let life pass her by and isn’t afraid to take on new ventures including a possible Hot in Cleveland reboot. 

When you’re older, “you don’t put off the things that are on your bucket list as much,” she noted. “People should try new things. There are all kinds of possibilities out there!”
