Actor Will Smith's dad has sadly died, Will's ex-wife, Sheree Zampino, announced via Instagram on Monday, Nov. 7.

You instilled discipline, and a work ethic that has created a legacy in your honor! #RIPDaddio #DontTellMeTheresNothingYouCantDo #WillSmith1," the 48-year-old captioned a throwback photo of Will with his late father and the former duo's now 23-year-old son, Trey.

Will and Sheree were previously married from 1992 until 1995 and welcomed Trey in November 1992. The I, Robot star wed Jada Pinkett Smith in 1997, and the happy couple are parents to son Jaden, 18, and daughter Willow, 16.
