Woody Allen Ditched Golden Globes To See A Broadway Show!

Hollywood may have been honoring his legendary film career on the west coast, but Woody Allen was busy attending a Broadway show on the east coast.

The actor and director went to the opening of the new Broadway show, “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical,” while the Golden Globes were in full swing in LA.

The 78-year-old received the Cecil B. Demille Award for outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment, and a video tribute was presented in his absence.

According to an observer inside the theatre, “[Woody] seemed to be very engrossed in the performance, as if the Hollywood glitz and glamor on the other side of the country was the furthest thing from his mind.”

Other celebs who attended the show’s opening night included Katie Couric, with her fiancé, and Hoda Kotb.
