Spoilers Ahead!Alexander Skarsgård’s ‘Big Little Lies’ Character Might Not Be Dead

During the Season 1 finale of Big Little Lies, we saw Perry (played by Alexander Skarsgård) get pushed down a staircase by Bonnie (aka Zoë Kravitz) where he met his demise. Or did he? Although there were rumors Celeste’s (Nicole Kidman) husband might make a return to the screen via flashbacks in Season 2, the actor who has received an Emmy, a Golden Globe, and a SAG Award for his chilling performance as an abusive husband, has dropped a huge teaser.

While recently speaking to People, Alexander said, “I don’t even know if I’m really dead or not. I feel okay right now but we’ll see.” Er, say what now?

TVLine also reported that Alexander is expected to “return in some capacity” in the second season. Could his return be in flashbacks or perhaps his character is in a coma? The actor would be keen to make a dramatic comeback, considering he described the role as “the greatest experience” of his career.

HBO, who produces the series, has declined to confirm any cast details for next season besides Reese Witherspoon (Madeline) Nicole’s return. What we do know about season two is that it will have seven episodes, and will begin production in March, ahead of a 2019 premiere. Andrea Arnold will replace Canadian director Jean-Marc Vallee, who will stay on as an executive producer. Backstage at this year’s SAG Awards, Nicole revealed she had seen the new scripts and said she was thrilled people wanted more of the show because “the stories are so rich and deep.” We can’t wait to see Season 2!
