Eva Longoria Found out She Was Pregnant at a Difficult Time: “Every Chance I Got I Took a Nap!”
Pregnancy hasn’t always been easy for Eva Longoria. In fact, she first found out she was pregnant with baby No. 1 during a difficult time — when she was directing an episode of the FOX comedy The Mick.
“I was so nauseous and tired,” the 42-year-old shared with Us Weekly of her time on set. “I thought they’re going to think I’m a terrible director because I’m just sleeping all the time! Every chance I got I took a nap!” Poor Eva…
The Desperate Housewives star previously confirmed last December that she and her husband, José “Pepe” Bastón, are expecting. Since the reveal, she’s been the most relatable mom-to-be ever by sharing that she’s missing wine and is now going to “live in leggings.” And fortunately for Eva, she’s feeling “amazing!” today. “I’m in the golden months right now,” she told People in a new interview. “I’m full of energy, and the hard part of the first trimester is over.”
Eva has gotten a taste of motherhood already as the stepmother to her hubby’s three kids, Tali, Jose, and Mariana, from his previous marriage, but she’s still a little nervous about birthing her own. “I don’t know anything about the mom world even though I have a lot of nieces and a lot of girlfriends with kids,” she confessed. “I’ve been reading, and it’s a lot of information and things to absorb.”
However, she’s loved her role as a stepmother. “[My stepchildren] have been such a gift in my life,” she previously told People. “They are amazing children,” she said in another interview. “I am so happy to be part of their lives.” That said, she’s excited to meet her little boy in a few months. She exclaimed, “I can’t wait for him to be here!” Neither can we.
