Kelly Ripa’s Wrist Tattoo Of Mark Consuelos’ Name Just Further Proves How Perfect They Are

Who knew? We didn’t really peg Kelly Ripa as the tattoo type of gal, but so it turns out, the talk show host has been inked three times — once on her wrist, once on her back, and once on her ankle. 

Our favorite, however, is Kelly’s wrist tattoo. Back in 2011, the 48-year-old debuted “Conseulos” written in script across her wrist in black ink during Live With Kelly and Regis. At the time, she revealed she got the body art at Saved Tattoo in Brooklyn.

Of course, Consuelos is the last name of her perfect hubby, Mark Consuelos, whom she met on All My Children and married in 1996 (when she first got the tattoo, they had been married for 13 years). Could a relationship be any more perfect than theirs? We think not!

Speaking of All My Children, Kelly previously got her ankle tattoo, a red rose with green leaves and a black swirl through it, during her soap opera days. In fact, she was inked when she was 19 years old before her first personal appearance on the show, and of course, before she met Mark. 

And just like many tattoos, Kelly has a funny story for what she calls her “symbol of stupidity.” She once shared with the LA times in 2001, “I had two hours to kill and the limo driver said, ‘Why don’t you get a tattoo?’ I did it.” As far as the meaning of the ink? “The flower? I told the guy to do whatever he had. That was it.” Too funny!

While we often get glimpses of Kelly’s tattoos when she’s out and about, we’ve never seen the lower back tattoo she speaks of. When talking with Elle in 2011, she revealed she’d “rather not say” what it is. We’ll forever be curious!
